Tammy Pettijohn
Administrator
We are proud to announce that Tammy Pettijohn is the new administrator at Deseret Health and Rehab at Kensington as well as the administrator at Deseret Health and Rehab at Smith Center.
Tammy began her career in long-term health at High Plains Mental Health Center, where she spent 15 years there. She graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology.
Tammy is married to Darrell Pettijohn who is the manager of the Pro-Ag Feed Mill in Kensington. Together they have two daughters, Lakyn, seventh grader, and Layne, fifth grader. Their children both attend Thunder Ridge Middle School. The family resides on a farmstead between Kensington and Agra. The family moved there from the St. Francis area five years ago.
Tammy is active in school and community affairs. She has been a 4-H Leader for the past four years and enjoys keeping the books at her kids’ sporting events. In the summer you can find the Pettijohn family showing livestock.
We are excited to have Tammy as part of the Deseret family. Her expertise and know-how will continue to advance the levels of care at both Kensington and Smith Center. Tammy is thrilled for the opportunity to get to know the people in the area better and is eager to serve them. Tammy said, “I am excited to get started and hope to be part of enriching the lives of our residents.”
